Cashmere is a yarn decision before it is a knitting decision. We source the yarn, sample the hand-feel you want, and produce from 100 pieces per design in Shantou.
A cashmere sweater manufacturer spins or buys cashmere yarn, knits the panels, and finishes the garment so the surface stays clean after washing. JIERQI works with cashmere mills in China's northern yarn regions and knits in Shantou, with a minimum of 100 pieces per design.

Micron, ply and yarn origin drive most of the cost. A 2-ply 16-micron yarn reads softer and prices higher than a 3-ply rustic yarn of the same weight.
12GG and 14GG styles use finer yarn and more knitting time. Fully fashioned panels waste less yarn but need more linking labour than cut-and-sew.
Stock colours cost less than custom dye lots. Deep shades and brights need more dye cycles and higher yarn minimums.
Washing and pressing affect the final hand-feel. Pilling tests on the finished garment decide whether a lot passes before packing.
Grade A inner-coat cashmere in 2-ply and 3-ply yarns, usually 15.5–16.5 micron. Yarn samples and lab dips are sent before sampling so the hand-feel is agreed first.
Yes. Common blends are cashmere with merino, silk or cotton. Blends lower the price and change the drape, so we quote composition options together with the style.
100 pieces per design for stock cashmere yarns. Custom-dyed cashmere needs a yarn minimum that is quoted per colour and per yarn count.
Pieces are linked, washed and pressed on controlled cycles to keep the surface clean. Pilling is checked against a pilling test box before packing.
Sampling takes 10–15 days with cashmere yarns. Production is 35–50 days after approval, depending on yarn availability and finishing capacity.
